타이가 (Taiga) 생물 군계는 가문비 나무, 고사리와 같은 양치류 식물이 자라는 차가운 생물 군계이다.

타이가 생물 군계는 기본적으로 푸르른 추운 기후에서 나타나는 숲 생물 군계로 생각할 수 있다. 숲 생물 군계에서는 참나무와 자작나무가 자라지만, 여기에서는 가문비 나무만 자랄 수 있다. 가문비 나무의 구조상, 폭보다 키가 높은 편으로, 숲보다 잎은 성긴 편이지만, 플레이어가 길을 잃을 정도는 된다. 지형은 숲에 비해 평평한 편이나, 약간 언덕이 있는 편이다. 타이가에서는 늑대가 스폰되는데, 숲보다 약간 생성 비율이 높아서 타이가에는 일반적으로 늑대가 많은 편이다. 토끼도 생성되지만, 늑대가 죽이기 때문에 그리 눈에 많이 띄지는 않는다. 마을이 생성되기도 하는데, 가문비나무로 만들어진다. 추운 기후로 인해 높은 지역에서는 비 대신 눈이 내리지만, 일반 타이가에서는 눈이 많지 않다. 지형이 눈 한계선 이상으로 높아지는 일이 많지 않기 때문이다.
숲과 마찬가지로 처음 시작하기에 상당히 좋은 편이다. 나무가 많고 지형이 완만하며, 유용한 수동적 몹도 많아서 초보자들도 적응하기 쉽다. 생성되는 마을을 피신처로 삼을 수도 있고, 주민들과 거래를 하기에도 좋다. 하지만 숲과 마찬가지로 길을 표시하지 않으면 길을 잃기 쉽고, 숲이 우거져서 시야가 제한되는 경우가 많다.
